Regional Park Communication Strategy

The Ribble Coast & Wetlands is designated to be developed as a regional park in the regional special strategy. It has had a public sector steering group comprising of representatives from the public sector and major wildlife charities for some time. Rural Futures were invited to contribute to a study to assist the steering group to appreciate what messages needed to be communicated about the regional park and how they should be communicated, if it is to be embraced by businesses and the wider public.

Rural Futures undertook research with key stakeholders in the project and conducted interviews and focus group discussions with key business partners across the designated area. The result was a report which linked public sector initiatives with private sector needs and gave a clear direction for the development of the regional park.
